"Dinner with Friends"
To me, ‘peaceful’ can be the most meaningful feature of a beautiful world. No matter where we are from, what color we are, or what language we speak, we can create a beautiful day for each other with our smiles. We, the representative of all women around the world especially in the Middle East, are sitting around a table communicating while having dinner. The women’s faces that you see are my friends, family members, and powerful women like Nasrin Sotoudeh and Narges Mohammadi who have screamed and fought for freedom. Each object on the table connects us together in many ways. We have words written in Persian and Hebrew language. But does everybody understand all that is written or said?. This is because we do not need words to feel each other. We still can communicate. We still can connect, no matter what we are like or where we are from. What has made us get together is one of the most impressive and powerful words in the world which is called “hope”. We can make a better world when we are together; when we sit around the same table, eating while communicating..
*The Persian poem is by a famous Iranian poet about hope and the Hebraic poem is a well-known one about love, two of them are written in a spiral way and calligraphy form on the tablecloth.
